ULYSSES DUBOSE, JR. affectionately known to family and friends as "Meanbo" entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at his nursing facility located in Baltimore.
"Meanbo" was born in Fairfield County, South Carolina on July 21, 1935. He was the oldest and only son of the late Ulysses DuBose Sr. and Ella (Millings) DuBose. He attended Dunbar High School. In his earlier years he worked at his father's cleaners and Gordon's Crab House, in his later years he worked various jobs, which included driving a taxi cab.
"Meanbo's" daily life's routines centered around driving a taxi cab, playing cards and going to the race track.
"Meanbo" will be remembered amongst ourselves in our own way. Oh, the stories to be told. He was known for his long entertaining stories, which he often loved to repeat. He managed to touch people both willing and unwilling, but the most fulfilling moment of his life was his family.
Preceded into eternal rest, his wife, Delores (Bacon) DuBose; siblings, Martha B. (DuBose) Clark, adopted sister, Faydonia Millings; brother-in-law, Ronald Clark; son-in-law, Willie McCoy; extended family member, Sylvia Patterson.
He is survived by three daughters, Roxsann (DuBose) Brown, Karen R. (DuBose) McCoy, Michelle DuBose; two sons-in-law, Ronnie Brown and Earl Taft, Jr.; two grandsons, Brandon and DaVon; host of great-grandchildren; niece, Cresta Sterrett; extended family members, Dorothy Lewis, Isaiah Millings, Lettie Thomas and Nannie Millings and a host of other relatives and friends.
