Tyrone Boyd Jr.

TYRONE BOYD, JR. affectionately known as Guppy, was the son of  Melissa Garland and Tyrone Boyd Sr. (Fish). Guppy was born July 11, 1993 in Baltimore, Maryland and departed his life on June 26, 2021.

Guppy received his education through The Baltimore City Public School System. He was an avid learner who took pride in sharing the wealth of knowledge with others. He took a particular interest in History and had aspirations of returning to school to obtain his HVAC Certification.

Guppy worked a variety of jobs from retail to warehouse, home repairs and landscaping, but his most recent job was at Amazon.

Guppy had an altruistic nature, always willing to help anyone in need. He was a very adventurous person; and took joy in playing competitive video games, painting, sports, particularly basketball and the sport of fighting, fashion and food (especially his mother's cooking).

Although Guppy did not care to swim, he loved being near the water. Guppy had a very silly nature and always knew how to brighten his family's day, especially if he sensed that someone was feeling down.

Born into a large family, Guppy was the eldest of six children. Guppy enjoyed reminiscing about the adventures that he experienced growing up. He loved spending time with his children, siblings and other family members and friends,

A special bond blossomed between Guppy and his long-time companion, Samantha Foster, and three children were born from this union.

Guppy was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Larry Garland and James Boyd.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories; his parents, Melissa Garland and Tyrone Boyd Sr.; three children, Nyomi, Tobias and Legacy; four brothers, Tyrone "Poopie", Tyrell, Ty'Ron and Ty'Ion; one sister, Malayah; two grandmothers, Vernell Toney and Bernadette Vaughn (Cornell Vaughn) with whom he shared a special bond; Brittany and Deontay, cousins that were very dear to him; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
