Towanda was born on September 9, 1968, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Angela Chapman and Clarence Booker Jr. She embraced her faith in Christ during her youth and later reaffirmed her commitment to him. In the evening hours of August 6, 2026, Towanda peacefully transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home.

 Towanda received her education through Baltimore City Public Schools. She loved her family deeply and embraced her roles as a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece and friend with her whole heart. She was loving, honest, outspoken and always kept it real.

Some of her favorite moments were spent with her girls enjoying seafood boils together. She also loved her Nikes, especially her Air Max 95s, and comfortable outfits that matched her laid back style.

Towanda brought laughter, honesty and love wherever she went. Although she will be deeply missed, her love and unforgettable memories will live on through her children, grandchildren, family, friends and everyone blessed to have known her.

Towanda was preceded in death by her mother Angela Chapman, stepfather Maurice Garner, grandparents Joyce and Howard Giddins, great-grandmother Lorraine Chapman, granddaughter Karter Hill, James Lewis aka Uncle Jimmy and cousin Stacey Hawkins.

Towanda leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, Rashawn Roberts her Twin daughters, Taniyah and Aniyah Christian and her beloved granddaughter Korri Hill. 

She also leaves behind her loving siblings, Montez Chapman, sister-in-law Tiffany Chapman. Bridgette Booker and Trayvon Booker. Friend/ brother Dione Green, a host of cherished nieces and nephews who will forever carry her love in their hearts.

Towanda shared a special bond with her aunts. Glynda Lewis, who was more like a second "Mother" to her, Kim Chapman, Deborah Chapman, Krystal Chapman, Towanda Davis and Theresa Washington, uncle Gary Washington and very close cousin/sister Tracey Chapman.

She will also be deeply missed by her grandmother, Ernestine Cox, aka grandma Peas. Two godchildren, Samiyah Johnson and Jamal Greene, her special friend Anthony "Otis Gerger". Her godfather Jack Young. Her best friend "Peanut Butter" along with countless cousins.
