Timothy S. Duppins

TIMOTHY SINGLETON DUPPINS, affectionately known as "Tim," was born on December 27, 1964, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Emanuel S. Duppins and the late Joan P. Duppins. He was born and raised in Baltimore, where he spent his entire life. On Friday, September 5, 2025, Timothy transitioned from labor to reward in the presence of the Lord. 

Timothy was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Southern High School. He went on to build a successful career with Southwest Airlines, where he faithfully served for 19 years until his retirement in 2025.

A man of unwavering faith and dedication, Timothy gave his life to Christ at Living Word Christian Center under the leadership of Apostle David Brown. There, he received salvation, was ordained as a Deacon and faithfully served as an usher and sound technician. Timothy later graduated from Maranatha Bible College and was ordained as a Minister. Over the years, he achieved numerous accomplishments in both ministry and education. In his continued walk with God, Minister Timothy became a devoted member of ignite Life Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Deborah A. Jones, where he remained committed to serving the Lord with passion and humility. Minister Timothy served in many capacities. He loved helping others and was deeply passionate about ministry, service and fellowship. His life was a testimony of love, faith and purpose.

Timothy was the beloved youngest brother of three siblings-Carl, Pamela and David and a proud big brother to Shanese Thompson. He was a caring and devoted uncle to Dalahn, Singleton and was preceded in death by his beloved nephew, Grahm ("G"). He leaves to cherish his memory his sister-in-law, Bonita Duppins: his best friend of 35 years, Linda White, seven aunts, three uncles, and a host of cousins, extended family members, church family and friends who loved him dearly. Those who knew Timothy will forever remember his supportive spirit, his heart for serving others and his infectious passion for life, love and laughter. He touched countless lives through his humor, encouragement and joy.

Brother, you often said that when your time came, you wanted a celebration of life not a mourning. So today, in honor of your wishes, we celebrate you with joy, thanksgiving, and praise to God for a life well lived. Although we miss you deeply, we can imagine you now with your unforgettable smile and signature laugh saying, "I ain't going back...they'll be alright!"
