Susan E. Taylor

Susan E. Taylor, daughter of Levin Wilson and Mae Downing, was born September 17, 1928 in Pocomoke, MD. She departed this life on February 20, 2018 after a lengthy illness.

She received her education at Snowhill High School in Snowhill, MD. At a young age she had various jobs, including teaching Children’s Bible School at Trinity Baptist Church. Her compassion for children led her to open a daycare in her own home later on in life.

She married the late Frank J. Taylor and out of this union five children were born; Kevin, April and Daria. Two sons preceded her in death Anthony and Morris.

Susan made numerous friends wherever she went. She loved children and they loved her. She was always devoted to her family and she fed the community.

She leaves to mourn: One son Kevin Taylor and two daughters April and Daria Taylor. Three sisters: Shirley Cunningham, Moena Armstrong and Lela Diggs. All of Baltimore; one sister in law: Irene Downing; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Last but not least a devoted niece Sylvia Matthews.
