Early Saturday, May 21, 2022, Steven heard God calling and took his hand to be with him. Steven E Christian was the 6th out of 7 children, son of the late Georgianna and Gordon Christian, born on March 6, 1963, in Baltimore, MD
People knew him as Tarzan, his trademark was his curly black hair, he was also known for always wanting to make people laugh by telling jokes. Tarzan was a sharp dresser and a well-liked guy.
Tarzan was raised in East Baltimore and became very popular in the neighborhood; everybody knew him and his brothers. As a young man Tarzan love the sport of baseball, he loved playing with the neighborhood kids almost daily.
Tarzan received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System and would later go on to receive his GED by going back to school to further his education.
He had six (6) children: Steven E Christian Jr., and a set of Twins girls Taniya and Aniya Christian. He married Taris Christian on July 16, 2007, out of that union he was rewarded with three stepsons Charles M. Harris, Howard L Harris, and Michael Whitley.
Tarzan adored his family and would talk about them to everyone. He always had a kind word to say if he knew you and was always willing to loan a helping hand.
Tarzan was employed by several roofing companies, then was later employed with the City of Baltimore, Bureau of Solid Waste since 2001.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 13 years of marriage, Taris Christian; Steven Christian Jr,; daughters, Taniayah and Aniyah Christian; stepsons, Charles Harris, Howard Harris, and Michael Whitley; brother, Roy Royster; 2 brothers in-law; 2 sisters in-law; 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, two devoted friends Boosie Peaks and Calvin Washington, and a former coworker always looking out for him James Knox.
Preceding him in death was his mother Georgianna Christian, father Gordon Christian, brothers Butch Gaston, Orlando Gaston Gunner Wortham, Murphy Wortham and his sister Robin Christian.
