Memories have a treasure that no one can steal. Death leaves a heartache that on one, but the Lord can heal. The death of Shirley T. Fields, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, saddened the hearts of her family and friends. Daughter of the late John H. and Della Mae Matthews, Shirley was born January 31, 1935, in Baltimore City.
Shirley received her education through the Baltimore City Public School System. She went on to work as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant for several years before she retired. On February 14, 1953, Arthur A. and Shirley were married in holy matrimony.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur A. Fields; three sons, Rory, Arthur and Antonia; one grandson Yusef; and one great-grandson, Darrell Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories through her three daughters, Denise Fordham, Patsy Fields and Joyce Montague; two sons, Roderick Fields and Jerry Fields; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, that loved her deeply.
