SHELTON OMEGA WHITING JR., lovingly known as Cameron, departed this life on February 12, 2026, at the age of 38 after an unexpected illness. Born on January 11, 1988, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, he was the cherished son of the late Shelton Whiting Sr. and Sharon Price. At just two years old, he moved with his family to Baltimore, the city that would become the backdrop of his childhood, his friendships, and his creative passions.
Cameron received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System, where he built lifelong friendships and discovered his passion for creativity. He later became a dedicated employee of Walmart, where he was known for his strong work ethic, warm personality, and the way he could brighten anyone's day.
Cameron was a vibrant soul, charismatic, funny and effortlessly friendly. He had a gift for making people feel seen and welcomed, forming connections wherever he went. His creativity was a defining part of who he was. He loved making videos, expressing himself through rap, and bringing joy to others through his humor and magnetic personality. Beyond his artistic talents, Cameron had a real passion for cooking, often bringing people together with the meals he made. He also had a special love for children, and they adored him just as deeply. There was something about "Uncle Cameron" that made kids light up. Whether he was behind a camera, writing lyrics, sharing a laugh, or preparing a favorite dish, Cameron had a way of lighting up the room. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Cameron's memory will forever be cherished by his mother, Sharon; his beloved son, Trenton; his brothers, Christopher (Tina) and Michael; his sister, Chevita; his aunt Francine, aunts in heart Linda and Brenda; and his brothers in heart, Robert and Tony, he is also remembered with deep affection by his fiancée, Latia; preceded in death by one nephew De'Ontae, his seven nephews; three nieces; and a host of cousins who loved him dearly.
Though his time here was far too short, Cameron's warmth, creativity, and joyful spirit touched countless lives. His presence will be deeply missed, but his light will continue to shine through the many hearts he impacted.
