Sharon Jones

Sharon Jones was born to Lloyd Williams Sr. and Ruth Williams on November 29, 1946 in Turner Station, Maryland. Sharon was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 23, 2021.

Sharon was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system and graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar Senior High School. Sharon later married her husband, Sylvester “Yogi” Jones in the summer of 1972.

Sharon worked within the Baltimore City Public School system as an administrative teacher’s aid from 1975 to the early 80’s. Sharon then went on to work for Social Security Administration as a file clerk until she retired in 1995.

Sharon loved cooking for her family. She spent her free time watching the Food Network channel in order to perfect her skills and learn new recipes.

Sharon accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age. She later joined Pleasant Zion Baptist Church where she was a long time member.

Sharon was preceded in death by, husband Yogi; mother, Ruth; father, Lloyd Sr; and brother, Lloyd Jr. Sharon leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted son, Aaron Sr. (Tawanda); beloved children, Donald (Claudette) and Tamula (Justin); grandchildren, La-Tarshae, Aaron Jr, David, Antionette, Ariel, Keante, Kendrick, Kabrion, Kabriel, Kayla, and Kaylin; sister-in-law, Harriette; nephew, Ivan; niece and goddaughter, Shirell and Crystal; and a host of other loving family and friends.
