SARAH GOODS, daughter of the late Mary and Walter Scriven, was born on Tuesday, March 8, 1938, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She moved to Baltimore City, Maryland, at the age of 12 and received her education from Baltimore City Public Schools. As a teenager, Sarah met the love of life, Alglenn Goods. They were married before he fulfilled his duty in the United States Army on December 28, 1957. Unfortunately, Glenn passed away from us on June 28, 1968, but that didn't stop Sarah from rising and raising five children. Sarah became the pillar of her community and encouraged others to carry the torch called life.
Not only was she the eldest sister, but she was also the matriarch of the family. Sarah gave, housed, fed and clothed whoever needed. Everyone knows her for being Mrs. CC (Canadian Club or Sister). There were card games, holiday dinners, cookouts, block parties, club (Hand and Hand Social Club), and anything you name. Fierce as she walked, styled like attitude, talked the talk and walked the walk. She was never to be played with and you learned a thing or two from Mrs. CC.
Sarah leaves to cherish her memories: two kids, Christine Carter, and Keith T. Goods, one son-in-law; Jerome Carter; one daughter-in-law, Lisa Goods; one sister, Mary (Bert) Scriven; one brother-in-law, Willie Goods; one sister-in-law, Elenora Goods; nine grandchildren, Cherice, Antonio, Chantell, Keith Jr., Nireka, Shazelle, Bianca, Alglenn III, and Montell; seventeen great-grandchildren, Stephanie (Star), Salaar, Antonio Jr., Adonis, Kamari Renee, Amadi, James (man-man), Kyree, Dekel, Donavin, Daron, Keith III, Kashanta, Zealand, Zavian, Lorie and Kali; eight great-great grand kids, Duwaun Jr., Ka 'Lan, Antonio III, Day'lin. Madyson, Kristain, Kobe and Maze; two nieces, Tanya and Silvia; five nephews, Phillip, Donnell, Theodore, Eddie, Antoine and a host of other extended nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
