SAMUEL FERGUSON, a loving and devoted husband and father passed on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. The third child born to Garfield and Hattie Ferguson of Victoria, Virginia.

Samuel married Jannie Drummond in 1965, the love of his life, a caring and devoted mother in Baltimore, Maryland, thus beginning a remarkable union of 56 years.

He was a self-employed truck driver; upon retirement, he was an avid gardener who provided fresh fruit and vegetables for his family and the neighborhood. He enjoyed playing lottery numbers, reading newspapers and listening to Nat King Cole. He enjoyed telling many life experiences to his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

He is preceded in death by his parents Garfield and Hattie Ferguson, two brothers, Barian Ferguson, John Ferguson, one sister, Hattie Ferguson and daughter, Clarice Williams of Pikesville, Md.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Jannie Ferguson (Drummond) of South Hill, Virginia, five daughters Norlinda Stephens, Rosalyn Stephens, Renee Ferguson of Baltimore, MD, Sharon Ferguson-Owens of Ellicott City, MD and Crystal Bess (William Bess) of Owings Mills, MD., one son David Cheeks Sr. (Maria Rodriquez), one sister, Myrtle Muhammad of Victoria, Virginia. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
