SALLIE MAE LEWIS was born on December 6, 1960, to Ernestine Feaster and the late Sam Oliver Poshay. Sallie was affectionately known by family and friend as "Wee-Wee, Punk and Mama by her grandchildren. As a child Sallie loved cooking she began cooking as early as 9 years old. She also had a love for singing, dancing, and the arts. She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She earned her High School Diploma in June 1977, from lake Clifton High School. She then attended Morgan State University for several semesters. She then enrolled into the Army where she served her country for 3 years. After leaving the Army she headed straight into the workforce. She began working for Meals on Wheels where she was able to further her love for cooking and serving her community.

Sallie really enjoyed working hard and being independent. She enjoyed hanging out and socializing with her friends. She was very outgoing, loving and fun. She had a warm and welcoming spirit and made a lot of friends everywhere she went. Sallie met Nathaniel Dion Sharp at Meals on Wheels and soon gave birth to her eldest son, Nathaniel Dion Sharp Jr. in October of 1986 and a second son in November 1987, Derrick Sharp. She really enjoyed being a mother and always taught her children how to be self-sufficient. She prided herself on ensuring that her children were great.

She later  went to work for Sherwin Williams where she met the love of her life and longtime companion who she affectionately named "Stinky". He gave her the nickname Punk and the two were inseparable. It was very seldom you saw one without the other, the two really enjoyed one another's company and were best friends.

Sallie had a special love for the Baltimore Ravens, watching the game was ritual for her, she would cheer the team on whether at home or live at the stadium. Sallie became a grandmother and loved her grandchildren dearly. She loved spending time with them and going big for Christmas. She loved cooking for her children and grandchildren they could always count on her for a nice soul food Sunday meal. Sallie also enjoyed playing cards and meeting up with her friends to socialize and have fun together. Sallie will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory: parents, Ernestine Feaster and Sam Oliver Poshay (proceeded in death); her sons, Nathaniel Dion Sharp and Derrick Sharp; daughter-in-law, Crystal Sharp; grandchildren, Jadyn Simone Sharp, Cameron Ferguson, Peyton Sharp, Carter Sharp, Nathaniel Dion Sharp III, and Bella Brooks; siblings, Denise "Tiny" Davis (proceeded in death), Regina Feaster (proceeded in death), Marvin Davis, Melvin Poshay, Renee Feaster and Richard Feaster. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
