RUTHIE MAE, the daughter of the late Mallie Jones Sr. and Lottie Jones was born on March 5, 1937 in Hoke County, North Carolina. On Tuesday, August 16, 2016 she departed her life at University of Maryland Hospital the Lord's angels came and guided her home.
Ruthie was the wife of the late Dewey Monroe Chisholm Sr. and with this union she was blessed with six children. And she received her education in Hoke County, NC. She retired after 40 years of service from John Hopkins Hospital. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother whom always put her children first. One of her favorite quotes was 'To always stick together no matter what'. She cherished special events with her family and loved to watch her soap operas and listen to her gospel music. She was the Queen of Bid Whist. She has a grandson Keyon Wright who enjoyed spending time with her.
Ruthie received Christ at an early age. She was a woman of God and a dedicated member of The House of Prayer Ministries where the Bishop Larry Lawson is the Pastor.
She leaves to mourn six children, Peggy Tucker, Linda and Deborah Chisholm, Darlene O'Neal, Elma and Dewey Monroe Chisholm Jr., and 1 God son, Donald Hinton and 2 sons-in-law Ronald O'Neal and Joseph Tucker. She also leaves to mourn a step mother, Elizabeth Jones and 5 sisters, Larrivenia Lott, Sallie and Patricia Jones, Ella James, Barbara Leach and one brother, Mallie Jones Jr.; four sisters whom preceded her in death, 3 sisters-in-law, Jean Jones, Emilly Parks from Baltimore MD. and Annie McNeil from North Carolina, 18 grandchildren, 3 grandsons-in-law 1 granddaughter-in-law, 48 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grand children and a lifelong dedicated friend Mrs. Annie Ruth Spencer and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives and friends.
