RUTH WILLIAMS was born on October 31, 1936, to the late Della Jones Pulley and Walter Pulley. Ruth gained her wings on December 26, 2023.
Ruth relocated to Parkersburg, Pennsylvania, during her childhood and later moved back to Baltimore, Maryland, where she received her education and tied the knot with Mr. Willie Williams. She worked at London Fog for 25 years and held various positions before retiring.
Aunt Ruth, as everyone called her, was a remarkable woman who never judged anyone. Her unconditional love for family was enchanting. Aunt Ruth loved shopping at Walmart, watching her favorite show, Judge Judy and rewatching any Madea comedy until she learned the words. She was a woman of her word who held everyone to the same standards and never got angry. Instead, she would say, "For Crying Out Loud." and everyone knew what that meant, especially her grandchildren.
Ruth was an amazing grandmother who loved her great-grandchildren more than anything in the world. She always put them first, and her top priority was raising Corey, Cassandra, Christopher and Denzel. Tyrone, Ruth's surviving son, moved in with her a few years ago and they were very close. They enjoyed each other's com pany, cooking together and sharing laughter and old stories.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Della Jones Pulley & Walter Pulley; her only daughter, Regina Pulley; her son, Gregory Pulley; her granddaughter, Carmen Barnes and her lifetime companion, Mason Burell.
Ruth's memories will forever be cherished by her son Tyrone Lee, brother Paul Pelham, sisters, Bernice Alston, Della Jordan, Betsy Shatten and Brenda Cole Garnette, grand children, Andre, Toni, Travis and Latrice, 12 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
