Ruth L. Sneed
July 29, 1921 — July 11, 2017
RUTH LILLIAN SNEED, the daughter of the late Maude Cane and Edward Parker; Herman Cane(stepfather) was born on July 29, 1921 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life gracefully on July 11, 2017.
Ruth received her education in The Baltimore City Public Schools System and was a proud graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. On February 12, 1950, she married William Fats Sneed and out of that union, hey raised four sons, Parris, Dennis, Terrence and Kevin. William preceded her in death.
Ruth was employed at Johns Hopkins Hospital as Medical Records Secretary. Ruth loved to sew (that was her passion), traveling and collecting classy high heels.
Ruth joined Faith Baptist Church at an early age. She volunteered faithfully with The Christ and Knowledge Camp, teaching the children how to sew and was a member of Women's Choir.
Ruth leaves to cherish her memory: three sons, Parris, Terrence and Kevin. Dennis preceded her in death; three daughters-in-law, Patricia, Linda and Cherae; five grandchildren, Deneen, DeNita, Tria, Devin, and Kevin; twelve great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; one brother, James parker; three goddaughters, June, Judy and Bridget and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
