Ruth C Andrews

RUTH CAROLYN ANDREWS was born June 19, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Rosie Mills. On May 15, 2021 God called Ruth home.

Ruth graduated from Dunbar High School. She received a Bachelor's Degree at Morgan State University, and a Master Degree in Special Education at Coppin State University where she proudly joined Iota Phi Lambda Sorority. Ruth dedicated 38 years of service to Baltimore City Public Schools and was recognized with a certificate of Achievement from the Baltimore Teachers Union.

Ruth spent most of her life as a member of Faith Baptist Church. There she enjoyed working with the Children Ministry, Youth Ministry and serving as a Missionary.

She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Her biggest passion was inspiring children in her family and those she worked with.

Ruth was preceded in death by her brother James Mills, two sisters, Beulah Mills and Rosie Mills. Ruth leaves to cherish her memories: husband Leo Andrews, son Dwayne Andrews, daughter, Sherita Andrews, granddaughters, Kirsten Mattison and Kristian Walker, niece, Tia Mills-Holmes "Lloyd", nephews, Stanley Slide and David Jones, great niece, Cayla Clarke, great nephews, Cy'ree Clarke and Shamar Holmes, family, co-workers and many loving friends.
