Born on January 28, 1947, at Baltimore City Hospital. The daughter of the late Ruldolph Nathaniel Earl and Jeanette Poston - Earl. After a strong fight to hold on to life Rothstein Patricia Earl - Hill departed this life on September 15, 2025 at 2:55 PM.
Rothstein was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system and attended classes at Baltimore City Community College.
She was known as a Jack of all trades, holding jobs in several fields. She was one of the first black female MTA Bus Drivers in Baltimore, she was a Taxi Cab Driver. Rothstein even had her mind set on driving a Tractor Trailer alongside her favorite now dearly departed cousin Barabara Simmions. She taught in the Baltimore City Public School System as a Teacher’s Aid and a Teacher. Rothstein was also an Office Furniture Installer just to name a few of her many talents.
Rothstein loved spending time with her family as well as her church family at Memorial Baptist Church where she was a member. She had a great passion for singing as she also sang in the church's Senior Choir. She loved to sing so much that in her early life she was lucky enough to have sung with the late great Marvin Gaye.
Always the life of the party and always dressed for the occasion which is why she was often called Foxy Roxy.
Rothstein had five brothers who preceded her in death: Nathaniel Earl, Bernard Earl Sr.,Wallace Evans, Shawn Earl and Donald Earl.
Rothstein leaves to cherish her memories one son Joseph Hill; two daughters Tina Hill and Kenya Mackey; one sister Marilyn Brookins; one sister in-law Karen Brookins; one god-daughter Bonita McNair; one son in-law Anthony Thompson; two aunts Bernice and Emma Jean Allen; nine grandchildren, Latoya, Tanisha, Terrell, Cameron, (Little) Kenya, Jasmine, Justin, Joleah and Josiah; ten great-grand children Shanaya, Taylor, Jay’Qwan, Taylan, Kenyon, Kennedy, Ant'Twan, Teocha, Kenzo, Legend and our angel baby girl Jordan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and two special friends Crystal Peaks and Celeste Shaw.
