Rose A. Green

On Saturday afternoon, January 26, 2016, Rose went from labor to reward after battling a brief illness.

Rose was born on July 29, 1935 in Halifax, North Carolina to the late Martha and Charlie Gray. She later moved to Maryland and received her education in the Baltimore Public School System, receiving her diploma from Mervo High School. After 35 years of exceptional service, she retired from Sinai Hospital.

Rose married the late Joe Green, and from this union her only child, Joseph Green, was born. Rose relished her spare time sitting on her front porch. Her inquisitive nature allowed her to acquire many new friends in her neighborhood. Rose also enjoyed spending time with her three grandsons, Joseph, Jalen, and Jeremy.

She was preceded in death by her sister Doris Mason and three brothers, Alonzo (Ruth), Harry Sr. (Dorothy), and Percy Gray Jr. (Cynthia).

Rose leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her son Joseph Green; daughter in-law, Kimberly Green; three grandsons, Joseph Jr., Jalen, and Jeremy Green; four sisters, Lucy Killebrew (Walter), Katie Gray, Carrie Gray, and Betty Jacobs; an aunt, Viola Sykes, NC; five nieces, seven nephews, twenty-one great nieces and nephews; a special friend, Linda Clark, who helped her in her last days; and a host of other loved ones and friends.
