Listen to Obituary

Rosalyn Cassandra Marks, daughter of the late Hayward and Etta-Mae Lambert, was born on April 23, 1939 in Manhattan, New York. She departed this life on August 12, 2016 after a short illness.

She received her education in the public school system of New York. After leaving her job at Triangle, she became a homemaker. Rosalyn gave
her life to Christ at an early age.

Rosalyn, also known as Roz, but to some Mama and Grandmother, was a loving and caring person with a warm heart and a big smile that impacted
everyone who came in contact with her. She enjoyed shopping on QVC and HSN, traveling to Atlantic City, gardening with Cassandra, scrap booking, and spending time with her family and friends. Her door was always open to everyone who came by and they couldn't wait to get a glass of her famous iced tea.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her beloved husband, William; daughter, Yolanda; two sons, William (Don) and Michael (Mike) who preceded her in death; five granddaughters, Chanel, Cintia, Sheria, Tiffany, and Cassandra; twelve great-grandchildren, two devoted lifelong
friends, Bonnie and Nell; a special cousin/sister, Ann Johnstone; and a host of family and friends.
