ROKEISHA C. ROGERS was born on November 7, 1973 to Robin S. Stokes and the late Keith Rogers of Turner Station, Maryland. She was born at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. As a baby, she was a 'fat butterball' and 'pretty as pie'. As she grew older, she became a tomboy and was very protective of her brother, family and friends. Rokeisha hated bullies. She was always able to handle her own and back up her words.
Rokeisha was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She was well liked by her teachers and school mates and was known for her willingness to help others.
As a teenager, Rokeisha had many friends in the neighborhood. Family and friends loved her for her infectious laughter and bright smile. She was an excellent baby sitter. Adults appreciated her love for babies and small children and her willingness to watch them so that their parents could have a short break. She would even drop by to see if you needed help with anything or would run errands for friends and neighbors. She had a beautiful heart.
Rokeisha worked at various jobs. She was a long time employee at her Aunt Sandra's restaurant.
Left to cherish the memory of Rokeisha are her mother, Robin, brother Savoy, daughters, Nakiah and Tyasia, sons, Davon and Trevon, son-in-law, Marquis, grandchildren, Faith and Trevon Jr.., grandfather, David Rogers and her dear friend, Kevin. Rokeisha was preceded in death by her son, Tavon. She will also be missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, long time friends and the Freedomway family.
Rest in paradise, 'Rokeisha, until we meet again.
