RODNEY ISRAEL KING was born on August 28, 1964, in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed his life after a short illness but terminal on January 20, 2022. He was the baby born to the late Frances and Ross King Sr. Rodney had six siblings. Four of his siblings preceded him in death, Roslyn Batty, Rosemary Owens, Rose Marie King and Theresa King.
Rodney was a "Jack of all trades". He enjoyed fixing things and held numerous jobs doing construction, cleaning and painting. Although Rodney suffered a traumatic injury, nothing could deter him from his work as a handyman.
Rodney loved family. He never had kids of his own, but he thought of his nieces and nephew as such and loved any child that he came in contact with. Rodney loved when the family got together to play cards and listen to music. He also enjoyed drinking his booze, being a ladies man, and referencing his favorite saying, "Girl I'm going to marry you".
Rodney is survived by his sister, Eileen Martin, brother, Ross King, brother-in-law Kenneth Owens, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Deborah Jones for extending her home, love and support for Rodney.
