Robert L. Robinson

ROBERT LEE ROBINSON was born to the late Clara Robinson on January 2, 1944 in Hanover, Virginia. God called him home to his eternal resting place on February 10, 2015.

Robert received his education at John M. Gandy school in Hanover County, Virginia. He was employed with Legion & Legion Construction Company for more than twenty years.

Robert accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was baptized at Abner Baptist Church in Hanover, VA.

In 1975 he relocated to Baltimore, Maryland. In April 1978 he met Barbara Gene and from this union birthed his one and only son Robert Lee Robinson Jr. In 1984 he adopted Michaun, Marquette, Johnny, Maquel and Michelle from a long-term coutship with the late Saundra 'Sisa' Wilkins. In August of 1993 he married Josie Bowman and from this union he adopted three additional daughters, Rahisda, Anngenette and Kimberly.

Throughout the years those who knew Robert knew of his love for horseshoes. He also enjoyed playing baseball, watching wrestling and loved to play the lottery.

Robert was preceded in death by his grandmother Mary 'BigMa' Woodson and his brothers John Robinson and Andrew 'Sonny' Woodson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife Josie Bowman-Robinson; loving and devoted sister, Dorothy Jenkins, brother, Ellis 'Booger' Allen; son Robert Robinson Jr.(Shelia); adpoted children, Michaun, Marquette, Johnny, Maquel, Michelle, Anngenette, Kimberly and Rashida; four aunts, Reva Robinson, Bertha Robinson, Ruth Robinson and Carrie Ann Robinson; two uncles, Thomas Robinson(Elsie) and Joseph Robinson(Viola); 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; devoted friends, James Harvey, Darlene Perez and Richard Coston; a host of other loving relatives devoted family and friends.
