RICHARD JAMES HORTON, son of William(Bill) Horton and Nancy Lee Horton was born on July 24, 1944 in Baltimore, MD. Richard was called home to his eternal resting place on December 1, 2016 after a lengthy illness.

Richard was the 6th of thirteen children. He received his education in Baltimore City Public School System. After school, Richard began his career with the Baltimore Shipyard. Richard ventured to Virginia to work in the shipyards there with his late brother Mickel Horton.

Richard was a loving person and was very playful; he was loved by family and friends. Richard had an amazing singing voice and he wasn't afraid to share it, he was also, in a Doo-Wop band during his life. Richard had a flare of dressing and looking good. Richard was very close to his brothers and sisters. He will be missed.

Richard's Legacy will be remembered in the hearts of his children, Kim and Richard (Bay-Bay), Michael and Deron; a child that preceded him in death, Richard (Richie Rich); grandchildren, Tony, Richard, Rashaad, Rashad, Donovan, Rabiah, Rasheeda, Malik, I'Kea, and Daran; great-grandchildren, Tony, Breona, Robert, Amarni, Amira, Zoe and Tyree; siblings, Holbert, Elizabeth, Maxine, Doris and Denise; siblings preceding him in death, Louise, David (Al), Mickel, Delores, Helen, Kay and Thomas; one uncle, Herbert of South Carolina; brother-in-law, Richard, sister-in-law, Geneva; son-in-law, Genesis, daughter-in-law, Toy and a host of nieces and nephews including his special nieces, Robin aka Knuckle head Smith, Nikia (Kia), Tiffany and his nephew, Bobby who cared for him; Sean and Harvey, who was a very close friend who was like a son and a very special great-niece, Seanae.
