RENEE MICHELLE SHAVERS, daughter of the late Howard and Irene Shavers, was born on April 16, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland. On August 2, 2016 God called her home.
Renee was a loving person to friends and family. She liked helping others and had a radiant smile that was priceless. She enjoyed family gatherings, which she never missed, and whenever we needed prayer, Renee stepped up and prayed a mighty prayer. Renee loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. Wherever Renee went she was a walking testimony of God's Mercy and Grace as she encouraged others to trust Him. Renee never had children of her own, but she helped to nurture many children whom she provided and cared for.
Renee was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She was the youngest of eight children. She was the 'baby 'of the family. She joined Mount Sinai Baptist Church as a youth and was baptized there. She was active in the choir. She never forgot that God deserves all the honor and praises! She worked several years with Union Memorial Hospital Housekeeping Department until she became disabled. Even with her challenges, Renee's positive attitude and joyful spirit was evident in the many friends and family whose lives she touched.
Renee leaves many family and friends to cherish her memory: Marcel and Charles Hall, Howard Shavers, Robert Shavers, Jannese Shavers, Vanessa Shavers; a host of nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Carol Ann Taylor who was one of her teachers, and James Wallace known as "Peanut." The family wishes to extend it's appreciation to the staff of Northwest Hospital and Seasons Hospice.
