Reginald Leonard Carter, son of the late Lawrence & Rebecca Carter, was born on October 20, 1960. He departed this life on May 22, 2020.
He received his education at Hillside School for handicapped children. He also attended the BARC employment center. He was a participant at A Caring Hand where he attended until his death. He participated in the Special Olympics and won several medals.
Reginald was fiercely loyal to his mother Rebecca and very protective of his siblings. He was a strong disciplinarian to his nieces and nephews. Reginald was the life of the party at every family gathering. He loved music and loved to sing. Michael Jackson was his favorite artist. Reginald's favorite beverage was Pepsi.
Reginald was saved at an early age. He attended New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor C. Blackmon. Reginald was on the usher board and was a faithful member. At the time of his death, Reginald was a faithful member of Sheperd Community Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Andrew Ferges, where he was also on the usher board.
He was preceded in death by his loving Mother, Rebecca Carter and his Father Lawrence Carter; also his brother, Larry Carter; sister, Kcasson Waller and brother, Anthony Carter Sr.
He leaves to mourn: his sisters Enois Saunders(Leon); Donna Carter-Brown; brother, William Carter(Nancy), Aaron Carter(Drenda), Mark Carter(Linda), sister, Tina Jones(Bruce); sister in law Marjie Carter; brother in law, Orville Waller and over 65 nieces and nephews.
Anyone who met Reginald loved him. He was a joy to know. Reginald exhibited the purest and humblest spirit. He was the epitome of a child of God. He experienced life through the eyes of an innocent child and he had a true heart of a godly servant.
