Phyllis D. Gillis

PHYLLIS DENISE GILLIS, daughter of Ida B. Archer and the late Rudolph Gillis Jr., was born December 11, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland. Phyllis departed her life on May 13, 2023 after a short illness. Phyllis was affectionately known as Peaches.

Phyllis received her education in Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated with honors at Dunbar High School.

At the age of 28 Phyllis was employed by Catholic Charities on a full-time basis and made this her permanent job for 43 years, working her way up to Associate Supervisor Management.

Phyllis made a numerous number of friends and considered them to be her outside family wherever she went. She ws devoted to all who knew her. Phyllis will always be sincerely loved and missed.

Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Ida Archer; daughter, Felicia Chase; brother, Rudolph Gillis 3rd.; grandsons, Taron Wallace and De'Juan Lee; great-grand daughters, Amonie, Emery and Torie Wallace; niece, Janell La'Tisha Wood (Marquis); nephews, Michael Anthony Gillis Sr.(Marcella), Michael H. Thompson Jr. (Kiah), Gregory Gillis (Linae) and Derrick Gillis (LaShawn); great-niece/nephews, JaShirltress (Kameron), Ashley, Deja (Tavon), Anthony (Lovetee), Bre'Aisa, Michael Jr., Madison, Jayden, Kori, Morgan, Aiden, Madilyn, Montgomery and Maverick; 9 great-grand nieces/nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
