Petrina Ann Wilkins, affectionately known as “Pat” was born on May 5, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland. She peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on November 7, 2024.
Petrina began her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. She later pursued studies to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. After a career shift, she worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Rite Aid in the East Baltimore Medical Center. Subsequently, she joined the Baltimore City Public School System, serving in food service as a Cafeteria Aide.
In 2014, Petrina and her devoted husband, Wilbert, rededicated their lives to Christ and became active, loyal members of The New Birth Full Gospel Baptist Church, Inc., under the leadership of Pastor Mark K. Cloude, Sr. Petrina cherished her church family, Pastor, and First Lady, above all, Her unwavering faith in God defined her life. She served her congregation as a devoted youth Sunday School teacher, reflecting her commitment to nurturing the next generation in their spiritual journeys.
Petrina found immense joy in spending time with her family, friends, and her cherished group, “The Golden Girls”. She loved dancing, playing spades, listening to both gospel and R&B music, and spending quality time with her two sons Jeffrey and Marvin, along with her beloved grandchildren. Known for her selflessness, she exemplified the phrase, “I’m only a phone call away,” always willing to lend a helping hand. Among her favorite expressions were “Keep your eyes on the fries”, “Where’s the bacon?” and “Love is love.” Her favorite songs, Don’t Make Me Over by Sybil and I Smile by Kirk Franklin, brought her great joy.
Petrina was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice Graves-Daniels and Verdell Riddley, and her guardians, Stanley and Mary Ivey. She was also preceded in death by extended siblings Michael Randall, Douglas Randall, William Boyd, and Jerome Hurt.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two loving sons: Jeffrey Johnson-Bey and Marvin Riddley (Erica) of Baltimore, MD; five devoted brothers: Dwight Thomas (Nancy) of Jacksonville, Florida; Benjamin Thomas, Nicholas Thomas, Lestrae Kelly (Sandra), and Maurice Daniels, all of Baltimore, MD; four caring sisters: Frances Dixon, Michelle Newton (Larry), Terri Hall, and Dorthea Daniels, all of Baltimore, MD; four adored grandchildren: Jachin Johnson-Bey, Joshua Johnson-Bey, Jaylen Riddley, and Skye Riddley. Her extended family includes her brothers, David Ivey and Tyrone Hurt, her sister Peaches, sisters/ friends Sandra Kelly and Robin Barnes and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.
Petrina’s love, light, and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
