Paula Michelle Haygood, was born December 24, 1954. She was the daughter of Thomas Alfred Winder, Sr., and Geneva Winder, who both preceded her in death. while surrounded with family, Paula was returned to God’s embrace on Friday, June 24, 2022.

Paula, also affectionately known as “P”, attended Baltimore City Public Schools. She was employed at Delta Airlines and loved the people that she encountered while working there. Paula had an infectious smile, was very much a people person, and loved to talk! She was good and crafty with her hands. She was a whiz at sewing, crochet, which she picked up from an early age from her mother and aunt. She also loved braiding hair. She loved old school Motown music and you could often hear it playing and her and her siblings singing throughout the house.

Paula was #5 of 11 children and at 1803 Chapel Street is where she left her mark. There was always a lot of love and family under that roof and she made sure all were well fed with her famous spaghetti. She also made her mark on Clifton Park’s swimming pool where she was affectionately known to be the life of the pool and all the fun for adults and kids. Paula was a very loving and giving person, accept when it came to her Pepsi. You had to be really special to even get a sip!

In 1994, Paula moved to Portland, Oregon where she started an awesome life with her husband, William Haygood who preceded her in death in 2015. During her life there, Dawn, Mykalla, Tommy and Mike became her extended loving family.

All who knew her, knew she had a walk that left some fascinated, a walk that never lacked confidence, and a walk that was always on purpose. Paula was special and will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Paula leaves to cherish her memory 2 daughters: Michelle (Melvin) Wright, Wendy Milburn; 1 son: Pablo “Kenny” Clark, Jr. (North Carolina); 5 grandchildren: Christopher, Jr., Kyah, LaQwuan, LaQuwen and Cordell; 3 great grandchildren: Christopher, III, DeAsia and Aniyah; 10 sisters and brothers: Veronica “Ronnie” (Roderick) Duncan, Iris “Becky” (Wayne) Hinton, Dorothy “Sweetie” Mitchell, Deaconess Carol “Dimples” Ford, Alfred “Manie” Thomas Winder, Jr., Patricia “Trisha” Roane, Damon Avon Winder, Constance “Connie” (Michael) Sheppard, Gloria (Gene) Hardy, Gerald (Rochelle) Winder; 1 godchild, Breynn Miles; 19 nieces and nephews; 31 great nieces and nephews; 2 special cousins, Gregory and Shelly Scruggs and a host of cousins, and friends.
