Pattie Mae (Wright) Price, daughter of the late Walter and Lucille Wright was born November 20, 1936. On December 4, 2020, God called his faithful servant home.
Pattie graduated from the Paul Lawrence Dunbar Junior/Senior High School in 1954. On July 2, 1960, Pattie was united in holy matrimony to the late William A. Price. From this union, five children were born, Wanda, Rhonda, Patricia, Shawn and Brian.
Pattie’s life was devoted to her husband and children. While she worked outside the home briefly, Pattie devoted her true life’s work to her home. Her faithfulness to making her home a place of peace and abundance didn’t stop with just her immediate family. Pattie often found herself caring for extended family members and neighbors as well.
Pattie’s devotion to home and family often translated through her favorite pastime, cooking. Pattie had a flair for melding flavors and creating ambiance for anyone enjoying her company. She made the best homemade bread and often woke the house and neighbors with its aroma. Drop-ins were a regular occurrence in Pattie’s home as she cooked a fresh meal every day, feeding anyone who stopped by.
Pattie enjoyed life and would often be found at her kitchen table sharing memorable stories and laughing. She will be remembered for her tireless devotion to family and friends. She leaves behind 84 years of wisdom and generosity that will forever be ingrained in all she met.
Pattie leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Wanda, Rhonda, and Patricia; two sons, Shawn and Brian; four granddaughters, Shara, Ashley, Patrice and Zyon; great grandson, Andre’; great-granddaughter, Nalah; daughter-in- law Wanda, five sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of extended relatives and friends.
