OLIVIA WESSON, 79 of Baltimore, Maryland, entered eternal rest peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength and care.

Born on September 4, 1946, in Baltimore, Olivia was the beloved daughter of Sadie Banks and Bubby Thompson. From a young age, she carried a quiet strength and a nurturing spirit that would shape the course of her life. Olivia discovered her gift for sewing at Carver Vocational High School and went on to become a skilled seamstress, dedicating many years to London Fog.

In June 1991, she followed her true calling and opened a daycare center. Known lovingly as "Ms. T.," she nurtured and cared for generations of children, becoming a second mother, protector and guiding light to many. She had a special way of making every child feel safe, seen, protected and deeply loved.

In 1980, Olivia married Julius Wesson Sr., and together they built a life rooted in love, faith and perseverance. To her family, she was affectionately called "Teeny," a name that never reflected the depth of her strength or the size of her heart. Olivia was a pillar of strength, a source of comfort, and the heart of her family.

Olivia will always be remembered for her wisdom and her favorite saying, "start out how you can hold out, " words she lived by every day. She brought people together with her cooking, especially her beloved sweet potato pie, which was made with care, tradition and love-just like everything she did.

Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She showered them with love not only in words but in her actions-through kindness, open doors, warm meals and constant support.

To know Olivia was to feel loved. Her presence brought comfort, her strength inspired many and her kindness left a lasting mark on every life, she touched. Though she is no longer here in body, her spirit lives on in the lessons she taught, the love she gave, and the and the family she held so close.

Olivia was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Wesson Sr., her sister, Goldie Diane Cosby, and her brother Stanley Banks and leaves to mourn: one brother, Kenneth Thompson, three sons, Brian Thompson, Julius Wesson Jr., Walter Thompson, one daughter, Patti Williams, son-in-law James Williams, six grandchildren, Julius Thompson, Janet Jackson, Joshua Levy, Walter Thompson, Brittany Thompson, Jemaka Thompson, one granddaughter-in-law Jessica Thompson, five great grandchildren, James Thompson, Jonah Thompson, Milan Thompson, Joanna Thompson and Zuri Bryant, cousins, Robert Banks and Paul Banks, three sisters-in-law, Marie Whittaker, Shadie Clark, Valorie Thompson, one brother-in-law, Rossie Clark and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Rest peacefully, Ms.T. Your work here is done, but your love will carry on -forever in our hearts.
