OLIVIA ANNETTE REDMOND, daughter of the late Glenwood Collins and Ellen Goldie Collins, was born on December 22, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the oldest of two children. She peacefully left this earthly place after a brief illness on December 4, 2024, in Baltimore, Maryland.
In 1965, Olivia married James Redmond Jr., and of this union they had three children, Gregory Duane Collins Sr., Paula Denise Redmond and Robin Yvette (Redmond) Lincoln.
Olivia received her formal education in Baltimore City Public Schools where she attended Dunbar Senior High School. Holding a variety of positions, Olivia dedicated most of her life to working for the Johns Hopkins University where she established lifelong relationships with many of the people employed there. Olivia's life was marked by her dedication to family and the love she shared with those closest to her. Her warmth and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In her spare time and especially after retirement, Olivia continued to enjoy vacationing, especially cruising, watching old TV shows and hanging out on her porch drinking her coffee or Pepsi where she became the mother of the block. Everyone, young and old knew her and called her "Ma".
Olivia was proceeded in death by her father Glenwood Collins, mother Ellen Goldie and her brother Harry G. Collins but leaves behind to cherish her memories and to celebrate her life; three children, Gregory Collins Sr., Paula Redmond and Robin Lincoln. One daughter-in-law, Sherri Collins and one son-in-law, Rev. Kevin Lincoln; eight grandchildren, Kiel McCoy, Tavon Moody, Brandon Barrow, Ebony Woodson, London Lincoln, Maurice Ward, Danielle Lincoln and Gregory Collins, Jr.; fourteen great grandchildren, Gary Lee Hawkins III, Jabari Woodson, Jayla Woodson, Kennedy Harris, Kaylee Harrison, Zoe Hall, Bella Collins, Cade Barrow, Gregory Collins III, Saige Barrow, Tavon Moody Jr., Destinee Moody, Peyton Moody, Madison Moody; cousins, Robert Banks and Olivia Wesson; special family friend David Cook and a host of other adopted children, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She will be remembered by those who knew her for moments shared and the memories created. May her memory bring comfort for all who mourn her passing.
