NEOMIA JOHNSON, daughter of the late Johnnie Mitchell and Maggie Fields was born in Baltimore Maryland on November 10, 1960. She was one of eleven children. Neomia departed this life on July 27, 2017 leaving behind so many memories.

Neomia attended Baltimore City Public Schools as a child, to later receive her G.E.D. She also attended school for Nursing while working at Rite Aid Pharmacy. Neomia raised all of her older nieces and nephews before she was a mother.

Neomia married Robert Lee Johnson at the age of twenty-two on May 23, 1983. From this union they had two children born eleven months apart. Gerald Johnson was the eldest and later Jeran Johnson. In the 1980's Neomia played basketball with her husband. She also loved music artists such as Prince, Michael Jackson, Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls, Whitney Houston, Kelly Price and Xscape. She loved to read books about health care and traveling different parts of the world. Her favorite hobbies were going to the movies, dancing and shopping. Other hobbies included writing, drawing and swinging. Neomia was easy going and warmed hearted, always willing to help anyone. She was always friendly and had a big smile that would brighten your day.

Neomia has many loved ones and she will sincerely be missed. She leaves to cherish her husband, Robert Lee Johnson; two sons, Gerald Johnson, Jeran Johnson; siblings, Emeril Mitchell, Darin Mitchell, Mary Mitchell, Patrice Johns, Johnnie Mae Wheeler, John Mitchell, Bernitha Broozer, Rita Finely, Polly Ann Mitchell, Margie Mitchell (who preceded in death); sisters-in-law, Patricia Johnson, Fay Johnson, Nichelle Johnson, Shelita Mitchell, Linda Mitchell, Euphemia Hinton; brothers-in-law, Lenny Johnson, Clayton Washington, Larry Broozer and Byron Johns; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
