NATHANIEL MAYO, son of Loretta Mayo-Johnson and the late Nathaniel McKinley Mayo, was born on July 22, 1969, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was affectionately known as "Nay Nay". He peacefully departed this earthly life on May 3, 2026, at the age of 56.

Nay Nay attended Baltimore City Schools and later earned his high school diploma, demonstrating remarkable perseverance, strength, and determination.

Nay Nay worked for the City of Baltimore for numerous years and held various jobs throughout his life, always striving to move forward with resilience and purpose.

Nay Nay was baptized at an early age, and attended and became a member of Old Land Mark Baptized Church.

Family meant everything to Nay Nay, he shared a close bond with his sister Natalie. He was a man whose laughter, warmth and unforgettable spirit left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know him. He was a proud and loving uncle who deeply adored his nieces and nephews. His love for family was immeasurable. His presence brought joy, comfort and laughter wherever he went.   

Nay Nay's infectious smile could light up any room. He truly enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He had a deep love for basketball, football, music and cruising through the streets of Baltimore. Whether driving his car or truck on his next adventure, singing loudly to his favorite songs whether on key or off key, or relaxing while watching classic television shows like Sanford and Son, Good times and The Flintstones. He embraced life with joy and authenticity was known for his playful spirit and natural sense of humor. He loved making people laugh and enjoyed spending time with children who adored his fun-loving personality and entertaining nature spirit.

Nay Nay was proceeded in death by his father, Nathaniel McKinley Mayo, beloved niece, Teasia Benson, nephew, Brian Keith Green Jr. and great -nephew, Shawn Moody Jr. who all welcomes him into eternal rest.

Nathaniel leaves to cherish his fond memories; mother, Loretta Mayo-Johnson; bonus dad, Ellsworth Johnson; sister, Natalie Mayo (LaShawn); brothers, Gregory Murray (Taryn), William Green, Brian Green(Deborah), William Murray, and Todd Johnson; nieces, Tynisha Murray, Doena Moody, Breonna Green, Takia Green, Myesha Douglas, Selena Minor; nephews, Gregory Murray Jr., Donya Bennett, Duronte Bennett, Tyreck Benson, Quran Benson and Ernest Minor; aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
