Nancy A. MacKenney was one of six children born to the late Cleo and Joseph L. MacKenney in Baltimore, Maryland on November 10, 1958.  She peacefully departed this life at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren as she entered eternal rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Nancy received her education in the Baltimore City School system graduating from Eastern High School.  She was blessed with 5 children and 5 grandsons and 2 great-grands which she adored.  She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior early in her life and remained faithful to serving Him.

Nancy was a cashier all over Baltimore where her customers loved her feisty but lovable personality. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, singing, cooking and having a good time. Nancy was a giver she would give you the shirt off her back. Nancy enjoyed watching western, sports and would fuss at the news stations. She loved talking to her siblings for hours especially doing bible study with her sisters. Nancy loved all her grandchildren but shared a special bond with Daniel. Nancy loved SHOPPING and not just for herself but for everybody. Nancy was strong, hardworking, independent, resilient, firm but fair, caring, protective, a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece, grandmother, great grandmother, and most of all she was a child of God.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory: three daughters Kelly Gaines, Renee Gamble, Sarah MacKenney, two sons Anthony Gamble and Marvin Parker one daughter-in-law Shanze Gamble, 5 grandchildren Koron, Anthony, Zion, Daniel and Blake 2 great grandchildren Sayani and Kenzo, three sisters Janice L. Brinkley, Cleo MacKenney-Bennett, (one sister preceded her in death Debbie C. Scott) two brothers Thomas L. MacKenney, (one brother preceded her in death Joseph R. MacKenney), 2 brothers-in-law’s Gregory A. Brinkley and Bobby J. Bennett. She also leaves nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
