Michael A. Lee Jr

MICHAEL ANTHONY LEE JR., was born on July 20, 1996 to Michael Lee Sr. and Katrina Shields in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the second child. Michael departed this life unexpectedly and peacefully surrounded by his parents and family on Saturday, June 11, 2016.

Michael, affectionately known as 'Mikey' was educated in the Baltimore City School System. When it came to school, Michael was enthusiastic. He was a warmhearted, energetic and studious student. His favorite subject was math and Mikey admired his teacher Ms. Penn at National Academy Foundation High School. He received his High School Diploma from National Academy Foundation High School on June 11, 2012. He was employed by the Community Behavioral Health Association of Maryland where he worked as a mentor. His pleasant, friendly, helpful demeanor allowed Mikey to receive a promotion to Vice President of his peer group.

Mikey was a spiritual young man. Michael Lee Jr loved the Lord. His favorite scripture was Psalm 24:1-10. Michael joined New Covenant Tabernacle Church at age 14. He was baptized at 15 years old at New Covenant Tabernacle Church. He also attended Dynamic Deliverance Church.

Mikey's smile could light the room. Mikey loved food and eating. He enjoyed sampling a variety of foods from different cultures. Mikey was a talkative individual. He enjoyed having conversations about 'His God', friends and family to anyone whom would listen. He was a creative young man when it came to building. He was passionate about being in the Special Olympics running track and field,. He received one Bronze, two Gold and one Silver Medal in track and field from the Special Olympics. Michal Lee Jr.'s smile, compassionate, helpful and God fearing qualities will truly be missed. Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Billy Ray Vines, grandmother, Virginia Scott and uncle, Antonio Foster.

Michael leaves to mourn: Mother, Katrina Shields, father, Michael lee Sr., sisters, Dashawnda Lee and Michelle Lee; brothers, Brian Lee and Antonio Lee; grandparents, Janice and George Taylor; aunts, Katrice Harrington-Wall, Mary Harrington, Tonya Lee, Tameka Sewell, Neecie Shields and Maria Shields; uncles, Selwyn Harrington, Sean Sewell, Billy Foster, Darryl Wall Sr., Selwyn Shields, Robert Shields and Mitchell Shields; best friend, Justice Bavb and Michael Adisons; special friends, Nancy Woodlin and Donna Reed and a host of family and friends.
