Melvin L. Oliver

MELVIN LLOYD OLIVER SR., son of the late Royal and Henrietta Oliver was born on January 11, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on August 13, 2024 after a lengthy illness.

He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. He was one of eight children. As a child, he was a member of Saint Phillips Lutheran Church. He was employed with Bethlehem Steel, Sinai hospital and several other jobs until he had a major injury and could no longer work.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his five sons, Melvin Jr., Darrick, Liancus, Eddie, Mark; ei8ght grandchildren Reva, Dedric, Gregory, Shalia, Keysha, Dereek, Khaliyah and Quantaz; seven siblings, Edward (Irene) Oliver, Dorothy Turner, Juanita Redd, Emmanuel (Earline) Oliver, Angela (Carlton) Westmoreland, Linda (Bernard) Booker and Joyce Oliver; many nieces, nephews and a host of other family members whom he loved and enjoyed his life with. Melvin was the life of the party. We have so many memories to remember.
