Maxine Brown

On Sunday, April 13, 2025, God called home our beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend at the tender age of 62.

Maxine Brown was born on October 6, 1961 to the late Albert and Irene Brown in Portsmouth, Va. She was raised in Portsmouth until the age of 13 when the family decided to move to Baltimore, Md. where she attended Lake Clifton High School. She also became a faithful member of Israel Baptist Church.

Her greatest loves were her church and family. She lived for her grandchildren and when it came to her daughter Cherie; Maxine was her biggest cheerleader.

Maxine was preceded in death by her daughter Candace Pearson; her father and mother, Albert and Irene Brown; her sister Pamela Brown; her paternal grandfather Albert Brown Sr; her paternal grandmother, Annie Mae Brown; her maternal grandmother, Beatrice Branch and her maternal grandfather Nathaniel Branch.

Maxine leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter Cherie Pittman (Tyrone); four grandchildren: Tiffani Christian, Tyjae Pittman, Shawn Pittman and Shane Pittman; two great grands: Truz Watson and Saiyr Pittman; one sister, Patricia Vines; two brothers: Gregory Brown and Lewis Brown, a special friend Tony Spruill and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
