Maurice Swann

Maurice Swann was born on September 30, 1962, in Baltimore, Maryland to Nancy Swann, raised by Lavinia Swann. He departed this life on January 16, 2024.

He received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools System and held numerous jobs throughout the years. At an early age, he worked with the City of Baltimore, and later worked for the University of Maryland Medical Center, his latest job was working as an Overnight Stocker at Walmart.

Maurice enjoyed watching westerns, watching sports and family trips to Outdoor World Campground in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Williamsburg, Virginia, Pocono Mountains, and spending quality time with his family.

Maurice was very soft spoken and had a loving and caring heart, and would always offer a helping hand, when needed. Maurice's smile would light up a room whenever he entered, he would make you smile by looking at him. Maurice made numerous childhood friends and will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. Maurice was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend and loved and cared for his mother and sister. Maurice didn’t have any biological kids but he was a father to his niece Sheria Swann when his older brother Gregory passed, he also loved all of his nieces, nephews and step-children as his own.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mom Lavinina Swann and Nancy Swann; brothers, Gregory Swann and Joseph Swann (preceded in death), Myron Williams; sisters, Tammy Swann and Tyrine Williams; aunts, (preceded in death) Lorraine White and Agnes Thornton, Christine Doles and Getrude Swann; uncles, Hezekiah Swann (preceded in death) and Wiley Swann; his wife, Alice Roberts-Swann (preceded in death); a friend Romaine Burton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
