MARY LEE ANDERSON, born on the 30th of December, 1968, in New Jersey, peacefully departed from this world o0n August 6, 2026. Throughout her life, Mary was a beacon of love and compassion, touching all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Daughter of Lillian Anderson and the late Willie Anderson Sr., Mary was a beloved mother, partner, sister and friend. She leaves behind her cherished mother, Lillian; her devoted partner, sister and friend. She leaves behind her cherished mother, Lillian; her devoted partner, Eric Jefferson, affectionally called by Mary "Papa Smurf"; and their three wonderful children, Sade, David, and Jeremiah. She is also survived by her brothers, Willie Anderson Jr. (Geraldine) and Wilbert Anderson, along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, niece, nephews and dear friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Mary's journey began in the vibrant streets of New Jersey, where she received her early education before moving to Baltimore to complete her schooling at Calverton High. Her career was marked by her unyielding work ethic. Mary spent time working at McDonalds and various other jobs, demonstrating her resilience and dedication until her illness made it difficult to continue. 

In 2024, Mary found comfort and community as an active member of New Mount Zion Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Darryl Lewis. She embraced her faith and shared it alongside her two sons, David and Jeremiah, creating cherished memories of fellowship and worship. 

Her unique bond with Eric was marked by evenings spent watching their favorite show, "Invaders" and being serenade by Papa Smurf, her favorite song "Sign Your Name Across My Heart".

Mary had a giving heart and an unwavering love for her family and was endeared by many. Her laughter and warmth will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
