Marvin Dickens was born on September 13, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland to Arthur and Mamie Dickens. He departed this life on January 20, 2019
Marvin graduated from Lake Clifton High School and followed a career path in construction. However, his true craft was playing ball. He loved to be on the court showing off and talking trash because he knew he was good. Marvin knew so many people and brought laughter and craziness with him. He loved dancing and was always the life of any party. As many may know he battled years of addiction.
Marvin loved his grandchildren, they gave him a second chance at achieving milestones he may have missed before them. Although Marvin wasn’t perfect, he was perfect in the eyes of his grandbabies and to them he could do now wrong. It was through them that he expressed his love for ball, he did not have much, but what he had, what he gave them was unconditional love. He spoiled them. He cherished them and was very proud of them. He will live through them.
Marvin leaves to mourn: Ex-wife and lifelong friend Ba, along with their three children Sharita, Jenelle and Darnell. Grandchildren; Deivyon, Dawon, Jamir, Jade, Sioni, Rain, Narae, His very dear friend Eartha; His mother Mamie and his siblings; James, Ricky, Paulette, Paul, Joe and Val.
