Marian E Jackson

An amazing women, Marian E. Jackson was born on April 20 1937. One of the eldest of 13 and the last to see heaven’s gates lived a beyond amazing life. Educated in Baltimore City’s public school system, graduating from Dunbar High School and later holding various jobs while raising her 4 loving children. Marian embraced the names Odessa and Odess from her grandchildren and Sexy Dessy from her great grands nieces nephews and friends was and always will be the life of any family gathering, party, or event. Tho she attended several churches in the Baltimore area The Arc church became her church home. She participated and volunteered on various boards at The Arc while enjoying special moments and times with her dear friend Ms. Magaret singing on the choir and volunteering in the church’s kitchen. Odessa Lived a life full of joy and love. When it came to singing, playing spades, going to any casino, and tearing up the dance floor she was unmatched. Her vibrant spirit touched everyone above and beyond. Family was her greatest treasure. Being the ear to listen, voice to speak up when needed and Matriach. Guiding her children grandkids nieces nephews specifically her children Reggie, Sput, Pam, and Marvin with ease. Cherishing every moment and making it her business to never miss a moment while making her presence known and embracing all who came her way. Valued for her high energy, magnificent character, warmth, and amazing loving spirit. Odess peacefully departed this life on August … without a regret in this world except having to leave a legacy full of people who she cherished and enjoyed in her specifically her children Raymond Moten, Marvin Moten, Pamela Moten (Andrew Alston} and Reginald Moten who is meeting her at Heaven’s gates. An amazing friend and sister in Christ Ms. Margaret host of Grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Tho she leaves this life she will forever be in all their hearts.
