MARIAH CLOTIE SIMPSON, daughter of Shonall T. Simpson, Sr. and Annette C. Robinson was born on August 25, 1991 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life suddenly on November 2, 2015. Mariah received her education through the Baltimore City Public School System graduating in 2010 from Forest Park Senior High School. She continued her education at Sojourner Douglass College while maintaining a career in the retail industry. She concluded her career with Giant Foods.
Mariah accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age at Rising Zion Baptist Church. Later, Mariah joined St. Matthews United Methodist Church serving as an usher, a greeter, an acolyte, on the dance ministry and hospitality ministry.
Mariah loved her grandmother Martha. They shared a very loving and close bond. Together they could be seen doing so much. Mariah had a desire to help others. Her relationship with her brothers and sisters was also very special. Mariah was often sought after by them for her advice, encouragement and guidance. She was the glue that bonded them together. Mariah's love for her siblings was as strong as what she had for her Angel. In 2010, Mariah was blessed with Angel, who was the center of her life. Angel gave Mariah the motivation to be the beat mom she could be. There wasn't an obstacle to great that could keep Mariah from providing for Angel. Mariah was preceded in death by her mother Annette C. Robinson, grandfather Earl Anthony, uncle Reginald B. Simpson and nephew Davon I. Robinson.
Mariah leaves to cherish her memories: daughter Angel A. Simpson; father Shonall Simpson, Sr.; stepmother, Marvel Simpson; grandparents, Martha and James Mundell; Clotie and Alexander Harris; nine sisters, Amanda Robinson, Priscilla Robinson, Terri Bruton, Shareice Simpson, Amanda Simpson, Chanda Weems, Bennita Williams, Kimberly Patterson, and Lakita Mobuary; seven brothers Kevin Gambrill, Kelvin Gambrill, Michael Johnson, Shonall Simpson, Jr., Richard Patterson, III, Donte' Patterson(Keyonna) and Malik Mobuary; aunt Renee Williams(Earl); uncles Jerrod Simpson, Earl McCleod, Damien McCleod and man; great aunts, Janet Barners, Gloria Simpson, Wanda and Vear; six nieces; five nephews, godmother, Kellie Robinson; goddaughter, Jornee Martin; special friends, Durannte Reed and Linda Canady; and a host of other family and friends.
