MARCUS CLARENCE ALLEN, son of Rose Violet Dixon-Allen, and the late Clarence E. Allen was born April 3, 1973 in Baltimore, Maryland. Marcus departed this life on January 7, 2024 after a lengthy illness surrounded by family. He lost his battle with cancer after almost three years.
Marcus was affectionally known as "Black" and received his education in Baltimore City Public Schools. He went on to have several occupations after graduating.
Marcus was a production supervisor at TIC Gums for several years and later Barry Plastics where he worked for five years until he became ill in 2021. In 2022 he started his own tag and title business Monumental Rose Tag and Title, with his nephew Ali Colvin.
Marcus met and fell in love with Monique Pennington in 1995 and they married in 2002. He was a "Girl Dad" and he absolutely adored his daughters! Family was everything to him. He enjoyed swimming, which he taught each one of his girls at a young age. He loved movies, music, dancing, anime; he was an avid fitness person and spent a lot of time at the gym working out. Marcus loved to laugh, have fun and always had a nickname for everyone.
Marcus was a calm and gentle spirit who's eyes were the window to his sole. He was loved and will be extremely missed.
Marcus was preceded in death by his father, Clarence E. Allen. He is survived by his wife, Monique; five daughters, Shawntelae, Marshae, Mariyah, Sydni and Samiya; two granddaughters; Milani and Imani; his mother, Rose; three sisters, Tamara, Tam Brown (Samuel) and Teresa; five brothers; Dale Sr. (Theresa), Andre (Chandra), Angelo (Patricia), Mark and Dane; brother-in-law; Anthony Williams; mother-in-law Beverly Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
