MANSEL BROWN, JR. son of the late Mansel Brown, Sr. and the late Beatrice (Vaughn)Brown was born on November 27, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland. Mansel unexpectedly received his wings the morning of Tuesday, November 24, 2015.

Mansel, affectionately known as, 'Peanut', graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. After high school, he served in the National Army Guard.

He went on to study briefly at a local Community College. Mansel worked in Montgomery County, in the public transportation department.

He had many hobbies, including fishing, watching sports, barbequing, watching spooky movies, listening to music, especially old school R & B like, Frankie Beverly and Maze and Marvin Gaye. Mansel loved attending church, he was ordained as a deacon when he attended the city of Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He and Nancy recently joined Northside Baptist Church, where he continued to serve Christ.

On April 27, 2007, Mansel wed the love of his life, Nancy Victoria. The two were inseparable and loved each other unconditionally. They loved life, but most of all they loved living life together. They shared a deep, intimate friendship, which transcended this life. Nancy was a devoted wife and was by his side until the Angels came.

Mansel was preceded in death by his second mother, Myrtle Chaffin, who loved him as her own, his brother, Richard, two sisters, Frances(Sue) and Beatrice.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted wife, Nancy; his only daughter, Anita; one step son, Rodrick, Sr.; a daughter-in-law, Stacie; five grandchildren, Andre', Quimora, Aiden, Roderick Jr. and Ryann. He also leaves to mourn, two sisters, Valerie and Donna and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
