Sister Lucy E. Bell was born November 30, 1918
and went home to be with the Lord December 22, 2016.
Sis. Bell was the second eldest of eleven children to the late
Reverend Bradley and Rosa Coles.
Sister Bell moved to Baltimore, Maryland as a young teen
from Morrisville, Virginia where her family lived in a little
wooden house on the hill. Sister Bell had very fond memories
of how her parents had very little, but with the grace of
God they managed and that is how Sister Bell lived her life.
Loving and serving God.
Sister Bell married Daniel Rufus Bel, Sr. (preceded her in
death) on February 14, 1942 and out of that union they had
three beautiful children. Rose Marie Carreras, Joyce Marlene
Bell (deceased) and Daniel Rufus Bell, Jr. (deceased).
Sister Bell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great
grandmother and devoted member, until becoming ill, of
New St. Mark Baptist Church where she gained a lot of
friends that she maintained relationships until her departure.
Sister Bell received many Accolades for her many talents
which included sewing, serving in her church, volunteering
for the Red Cross and doing administrative work for the
Department of Aging in Baltimore City.
Bell leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Rose
Marie Carreras; son in-law, Francisco Carreras; four
grandchildren, Clayvon York (Sholanda), Troy York (Kisha),
Phil York, Jr. (deceased) and Nikki Bell; one great grandson
Justin Frazier and a host of other relatives and friends.
