Listen to Obituary

Lois Annette (Butler) Neal, daughter of the late Sallie Butler and Louis Butler. She departed this life on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 12:03PM from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Annette, as she was a affectionately known by her family and friends.

She received her education in the Baltimore City School System graduating from Patterson High School.

After graduation she worked various jobs including working at Rite Aid and Johns Hopkins Hospital.

During her high school years she met the late James A. Ransome Sr. and they had one child by the name of James A. Ransome Jr. After various trials and tribulations in her life the year 2002 she got everything gured out and her life back on track.

In the year 2004 while working at Travel Centers of America she met a gentleman by the name of Mr. Hilary Neal III of Washington DC. Things got serious between the two and Annette and Neal talked of starting a life in Georgia together; this came to fruition in the year 2007. Annette chose to start a new life relocating to Hiram, Georgia, a suburb outside of Atlanta. One year later on October 18, 2008 Annette and the love of her life Mr. Hilary Neal III would be joined in  holy matrimony; where they would spend sixteen joyous years together and he a ectionately called her "Sweetie".

Annette was a caring person and devoted family person. Every person she came in contact with enjoyed her presence. She made numerous friends no matter where she went from her loving smile to her silly laugh. Just like her mother Sallie, Annette was the cook in the family from her seafood, cornbread dressing to one of her favorites turkey wings.  Everyone loved her cooking.

Over the past two years Annette's pride and joy was her first and only grandchild Jace. She would come visit him every Thursday and never came empty handed. She would say "Hi my baby" and before she could put anything down he would grab and reach for her to pick him up. She had a calming touch with him where he would just crawl up on her and go to sleep.

She was preceded in death by her parents Sallie and Louis Butler, then her two sisters Janey Brooks and Renee Butler-Generette, while not forgetting her stepfather William Ru (Sonny) and nephew Kelavin Weaver.

Lois Annette Neal, leaves to mourn her loving husband Mr. Hilary Neal III; and loving son, James A. Ransome Jr.; grandson, Jace A. Ransome along with his mother Treasure Thompson; two loving and protective brothers, Jerry Butler and Ricky Butler; two sister in-laws Sharon and Cynthia Butler; two uncles, Joseph and Keith Young; nieces, Kenyatta Butler (Angel), Renee Butler, Danielle McCrorey and Quandria Butler; nephew, Ralph Brooks;  also left behind are a large group of cousins, great nieces and nephews.  She was everyone's "Aunt Annette".
