Lisa A.
Washington
January 2, 1964 – April 5, 2026
LISA ANNETE WASHINGTON, born January 2, 1964, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Elsie Louise Washington and Johnny Long, gained her wings and ascended to heaven on April 5, 2026. She was the youngest of Elsie's three daughters and the most outgoing of the family. Lisa received her primary education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Having a natural talent for hair design, she earned a certification in cosmetology from the Baltimore School of Hair Design and worked as a self-employed beautician for several years. Later in life, Lisa transitioned to professional cleaning services, where her reputation for being tidy kept her in high demand. She eventually went on to manage a local dry-cleaning business in Baltimore, Maryland.
As a free spirit, Lisa loved to showcase her creativity in various ways. She experimented with different hair colors, dabbled in arts and crafts and often changed her home decor. Aside from being creative, Lisa lived life on her own terms. She didn't care what others thought of her. She danced like no one was watching, sang her favorite songs out loud, and loved unconditionally.
More than anything, Lisa enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as Nana. A self-proclaimed early bird, Lisa could be found up at the crack of dawn waiting for her grandchildren to arrive at her house before school. She often had breakfast ready and greeted them each day with a loving smile. She was proud of her children and grandchildren and could often be heard bragging about their various accomplishments.
Lisa leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Davon: one daughter, Tanisha; three grandchildren, Davon Jr., Jamil and Jaice; two sisters, Sheila and Andrea; one aunt, Delores; two nieces, Tomika and Jasmine; two nephews, Marvin and Jamal; two great-nephews, Nasir and Ronnie III; three great-nieces, London, Kayle and Jela; one niece-in-love, Alexis; a devoted lifetime friend, Mike; and a host of cousins and friends. Lisa's brother, Ritchie, preceded her in death.
