LINDA MAE HARGES-SCRUGGS(MAMA APPLE), was born in Baltimore, MD on November 4th, 1962. She is the daughter of the late Lauretta Glass and Isaiah G. Beamon. Linda was the youngest of six her sister Mable Ward proceeded her in death. On March 15, 2020 after a brief illness she was called to rest. Linda was a warrior despite her health issues, she fought like the fighter that she was known to be.

Linda received her education in Baltimore City Public Schools. Graduating from South Western High School Linda pursued higher education stating at Sojourner Douglass and completing at Strayer University. She received a bachelor's degree of B.A. in Business Administration. After completing her degree Linda began working at Morgan State University in 2013, she remained employed until she was called home.

In December of 2013 Linda married her High School Sweetheart Gregory Scruggs. Linda and Gregory met in High School in 1978. They were reunited after 30 years and made their union complete.

Linda was affectionately known as Mama Apple by her grandchildren. Her oldest grandson Eris Mosely Jr. started calling her Mama Apple his siblings and little cousins have all taken to calling Linda their Mama Apple. Her grandchildren are the Apple of he eye. Linda loved talking to her grandchildren and spending as much time as she could with them. Linda had many hobbies amongst her favorite were crocheting and playing spades. Linda had a great love of butterflies and the color purple.

Linda leaves to continue her memory her loving husband Gregory Scruggs her sisters Rosetta Hardges, Debra Beamon, Linda Beamon and one brother Roger Beamon (special sister) Sharon Thornton. Her legacy continues with her six sons Lawrence Mosley Jr., Eric Mosley Sr. Laemal M. Kent Sr., Diwaun M. Paige, Moses Garrison and A.J. Scruggs (one honorary) son, Jason Bess; five grandchildren, Eric Mosley Jr.(Apple), Kenan Mosley (Isaiah), Morgan Mosley (Morgie Pie), Laemal M. Kent Jr. (Mally-Mall), and Joshua Kent; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
