Leo E. Andrews

Leo E. Andrews (Edward), son of the late Leo F. and Bridie Andrews, was born on December 19, 1947, in Washington, DC. On November 9, 2023, in Baltimore, MD God called Edward home.

Edward attended Prince George’s County Public Schools and graduated from Fairmont Heights High School. After high school, Edward joined the United States military (Army)and served his country for many years. Upon completion of his service, he continued his education at a vocational school in Baltimore, MD. Afterwards he became a full-time employee of Baltimore County Government as a mechanical engineer for the Baltimore County Fire and Police Department. He worked for the State of Maryland for many years until his retirement.

Edward married the love of his life, Ruth C. Mills (Carolyn) on May 15, 1971. This union was blessed with two children, Dwayne, and Sherita Andrews. Throughout his life Edward made numerous friends wherever he went and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Edward enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren (Kirsten, Kristian). Edward also enjoyed a satisfying meal wherever possible.

Edward was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn; his sister, Cecelia Andrews Sykes and brother, Bruce Andrews. Edward leaves to cherish his memories: son, Dwayne Andrews; daughter Sherita Andrews; granddaughters, Kirsten Mattison and Kristian Walker; his sister, Alma Andrews; nephews, nieces, cousins and many other relatives and friends.
