Kevin A. Porter

KEVIN ANTHONY PORTER, son of Calvin Porter and the late Carolyn Banks, was born on October 29, 1974 and departed this life suddenly on December 26, 2016 at 1:23 am.

Kevin received his education in the Baltimore Public School System and was a graduate of Patterson High School in 1992. He was employed with the Baltimore City Department of Public Works and later began employment with a local car dealership.

Kevin gave his life to the Lord under the leadership of Bethel A.M.E. Church and continued in the service of the Lord with New Hope Christian Fellowship Church under the leadership of Pastor Marty C. Taylor.

Kevin loved his family and he had a special bond with his children, nieces, nephews and an extra special relationship with his grandparents, Ann and Randolph Porter.

He enjoyed having fun. He had "swag and a demeanor" that was one of a kind and it changed the environment of every room that he walked into.

"KP" as he was affectionately known had a big heart and he would always be there if you called on him.

Kevin leaves to cherish his fond memories: his father, Calvin Porter (Alice); grandparents, Ann and Randolph Porter; two daughters Miqueara Lewis and Mylah Porter; four sons, Khari Porter, Dorian White-Porter, Jaydin White-Porter and Justin Porter; one brother, Mike Banks, Jr.; one sister Alicia Ragsdale (Devin); devoted fiancée, Rebecca Grager; special sisters, Theresa, Tammy, Adrienne, Tonya B., Tonya L; special brothers, Darrick and Paul; seven aunts, Maxine, Niecey (Adrian), Bessie, Lena, Verta, Sandra and Olivia; two uncles, Edgar (Nadine) and Alonzo (Kathleen). A host of nieces, nephews, a great nephew, cousins (special cousin, Twon Mull); close friends, Jay, Carlos, Mikey and Damon.
